Investigate ing the suitability of a venue in Amsterdam for large-scale events using Joint Fact Finding with stakeholders.
For the municipality of Amsterdam, SSE consultant Jeroen Medema researched the suitability of a site in Amsterdam West for large-scale events, such as dance events and pop concerts. Using Joint Fact Finding together with local stakeholders, competent authorities, and their advisors, he examined the pros and cons of the site. In working groups focusing on topics such as safety, quality of life, mobility, and environmental impact, the stakeholders collaborated to address the research questions. After jointly establishing the conclusions of the Joint Fact Finding study, the City of Amsterdam decided that the site is not suitable for large-scale events. He documented Jeroen Medema’s approach and experiences in a publication by WesselinkVanZijst.
